



















new house, auckland, new zealand winner nzia auckland branch awards for architecture 2022 this family home is located on auckland’s eastern beach, looking out to waiheke Island. conceived as a simple suspended timber form, containing the bedrooms and a private living area, supported on a series of precast concrete walls that define the living and service spaces to the ground floor. This upper form is then penetrated by a series of horizontal and vertical voids, to visually break up it’s mass. Leaving a delicate timber screen where the form has been deconstructed.
